Fiber Optic Attenuator

  • Fiber optical attenuator or Optical attenuator is a passive optical device that reduce the power level of an optical signal. SC Plug in Fixed Optical attenuator is used to attenuate the input optical power and avoid the distortion caused by the optical receiver due to the strong input optical power.
  • LC/UPC SM Plug-in Fixed Fiber optic attenuator is used in the fiber optic communications to reduce the optical fiber power at a certain level.Optical attenuator is often a requirement in Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) applications where the receiver cannot accept the signal generated from a high-power light source.
  • E2000/APC Male-Female Fixed Optical Attenuator are commonly used in fiber optic communications to the the power level of a fiber cable by controlling the amount of signal loss that is passed through the signal. Commonly used attenuation range is from 1dB to 25dB.
  • Fiberlink’s Manual Variable Optical Attenuator (MVOA) is a device designed to attenuate an intensity or power level of an input optical beam in a controlled manner to produce an output optical beam with different attenuated intensities. The Variable optical attenuator can be used for power control and equalization for WDMs, FTTx, CATV and Test & Measurement Instruments. The VOA attenuator provides the pigtail with FC, SC, LC connector optional or without connector.
